The Brussels Interim Conference kicked off at the Brussels clubhouse (Lucky them, with their own clubhouse!) There were about 125 participants from clubs around the world.

The theme of the Brussels conference was "FAWCO
- A World of Possibilities."

new campaign:
FAWCO Foundation Backing Women. Elegant posters and a beautiful
scarf, worn by Maggie at the Tea, have been made and may be purchased from the FAWCO Foundation website.

selected for the best costume vote.
Maggie's costume for the Around the World in 80 Bids
Foundation Night Gala was made up of items from the various countries where she has lived: cowboy belt from the US, tartan skirt from Scotland, T-shirt from
Chad, calabash 'handbag' from Cameroon, hunting shirt from Canada, batik from
Indonesia, and conical hat from Vietnam, around which were stitched 80
postcards from different countries around the world. She also had items from
countries she has visited, such as slippers from China, jewelry from Brazil,
South Africa, Ivory Coast, Ireland, and Senegal, and a bottle of emu oil from
Oz, thus representing 6 of the 7 continents.
