Maggie: International Literacy Day 2014

We Did It!
Happy International Literacy Day!

You've worked hard all summer logging pages for #Pages4Progress and we couldn't be more grateful for your support.

We're happy to announce that all your reading paid off - together you read more than 2,465,826 pages and raised $20,915 while promoting literacy & universal access to education.

Help take #Pages4Progress to the next chapter.

The #Pages4Progress campaign may be finished, but progress for international literacy must continue. Let's keep up the fight! We've started a petition for U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon asking for access to education to be a right that's available to everyone.

Join us in making noise! Read the petition, sign it, and then share it using our Thunderclap campaign to start a wave of support on social media on September 24th, the second anniversary of the United Nations' creation of Global Education First Initiative, led by Ban Ki-moon.

With supporters like you hard at work, universal literacy can - and will - be a reality. Thank you for making your summer reading count!
