Maggie: Garden Group October meeting

The threatened rain kindly decided to hold off, and the garden groupies were able to visit the Tuesday morning plant market at Mosson, and buy some lovely plants and even some winter vegetables for planting in the kitchen garden. As usual, when we talk about gardening, we think about food, so we shared a delicious and copious pot-luck luncheon chez Sue Rich, and then talked about plans for future outings.  One possibility, in the near future, is a visit to the saffran fields, if there are no "inondations"to wash them away like last year.  We also talked about a possible spring trip to Paris to visit the gardens there.  We are still looking for suggestions from other members about future activities.
Thanks once again to Sue Rich for organizing (from Oz, with local help from Peg Rig), and for hosting, and sharing her scrumptious recipe for chicken curry. ... Which reminds me, we also talked about a FUNdraiser with a "name that spice" theme.
