Maggie: Walk for Life

It was raining when I set out from Montferrier with daughters Laura and Emily and our friend Mairi for the CSFL Walk for Life, but our spirits were not dampened, and the sun was waiting for us when we arrived in Montagnac.

Although I knew that other AWG participants were planning to walk the 11 km circuit, we intended to do only 5.5.  Half-way through the short version, we realised that we could add another loop, and see a few more stone sculptures.

We took a wrong turn somewhere on that loop and ended up walking about 8 km.  We arrived back at the start in time to join the rest of the group for a picnic in illusive shade.

I am proud to say that I raised 200 euros in sponsorship for the walk, as well as the amount we contributed as participants.

 

It was a beautiful day, a beautiful site, and a lovely way to lead into Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
