A group of us gathered at Denise's home to learn techniques of preparing vegetables and sauces for an Indonesian feast. We were instructed by Denise's son Brice and his friend Brooke, who coached us through the morning-long preparation with some dazzling results, both in the presentation of the dishes and in their taste.
