Our annual tradition of planning the books we will read in the coming year took place at Katharine J's charming home in Montferrier. Robyn, our new Book Club chair, managed the meeting with precision, aided by timekeeper Mariannick, allowing us to have 18 books presented, from which we chose the 9 that we will read from November 2013 through October 2014. Each presenter was limited to 6 minutes to make her pitch - thus allowing all business to be transacted by 12 noon, when we had time for a leisurely lunch, when Pierre joined us. We're getting better at this, ladies!

Maggie will be in the United States next month, and will aim to find a few of our chosen books in secondhand copies - clever use of our booster funds.
